It’s hard to believe that a few short weeks ago, we were capturing Jacob and Morgan’s maternity session. Baby Easton is here! Yay! The simple elements, wood accents, and pops of green foliage let them (and Easton) shine in these Lisle newborn pictures.

During both sessions, I loved how Jacob and Morgan kept their style simple, which makes these photos even more timeless. Plus, their home was a design dream! I always enjoy getting a chance to work with families in their homes because it’s much more casual and relaxed for everybody involved. Plus, just like these Lisle newborn photos show, it gives us a glimpse into the Browning family’s personal style.

I loved capturing the pictures of their reflection in the circular mirror, plus if you look closely, you can see one of Morgan’s ultrasound pictures in the shot too– so cute!

And don’t get me started on Easton! The bows, the stuffed animals! She was the perfect model for her first photoshoot, and can you believe those pouty lips?

I have loved working with Jacob and Morgan, and I am so thankful she found me on Instagram! I cannot wait for another chance to photograph this fun (and beautiful!) family!

Adding Texture Makes this Lisle Newborn Session Beautiful

Don’t you love all of the texture that these pictures have? The chunky knit blanket, Morgan’s sweater, and even that polka dot blanket add such a nice feature to these pictures without being overpowering.

The Browning family got it right by adding little pops of color and texture in these pictures, and these images will look great on any wall!

When you are considering what to wear to your in-home session, think about how the texture will add interest to your images. Since many of the pictures in this Lisle newborn session are closeups of Easton, the blanket makes the pictures dynamic and adds dimension.

If the background is too flat, we could risk making your baby look like they’re in a yearbook photo-style background!
