So, yeah, this is me... when I say it's time to update your shots, I MEAN it! Man, did I have anxiety to be in front of the camera, but I am so glad I did it. No one wants to see me 10 or 20 years ago. My family wants to remain private, so that limits any pics we take together to use. SO I did the thing. And now you see who your photographer is right now.
Now, who is that?
I am a girl who absolutely loves what she does and her camera. The word passion doesn't even come close to describing it. I get to do what I love for a living, plain and simple. I also have a ton of tattoos {still working on my vintage floral sleeve} and do not believe that how people decide to express themselves is an indication of their souls {so no judgey/rude people allowed around here}. I am a foodie who loves small eclectic local places. My music and my personality are loud, I am sarcastic but love fiercely, especially my kids that I will literally fight the largest monster for. Oh.my.god. I can not forget about my dog babies {2 bostons} and honestly all DOGS, I am outdoorsy and love to get into the mountains as much as possible. I hike and when I say hike I mean far and up, no 1 mile flatlander stuff here. I was a 90's kid {best generation} as a teen so if you know you know... Work hard, play harder. Let's do this!
Tips When Choosing Your Photographer
When choosing a professional photographer, I recommend choosing someone who communicates easily. It is important for them to have the same vibe as you too! Your time is worth your money, so be sure they are readily accessible and running a legitimate business. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is...
- Check out their online portfolios and social media and gauge the style, quality and consistency of the photographer you are looking at.
- Do they have a large, diverse clientele? Or are they only showcasing their own kids, the same clients over and over, old sessions and not showing many examples of working well with a variety of other kids?
{me: not even close! I love kids of all ages and abilities and see well over 350 families a year, no joke! You will find me in a forest preserve somewhere every day May through November}
- Are they insured and do they provide a contract for your session?
{me: Yes, of course! I would never think of not protecting my clients or myself}
- How long will you wait to view and receive your photographs?
{me: within a week, unless specified otherwise}
- Do they have a lot of repeat clients?
{me: a TON! My testimonials on google and facebook are a good representation of what to expect if you work with me}
- Are they in your budget?
{me: I price myself to reflect my experience, quality and also remain affordable in our area, while also making a living wage. We all need that right?!}

I want to keep it simple for you, so for most sessions there are no travel fees. Travel fees are as follows: total round trip mileage times 1.2 from anything over 15 miles from 60516 and will be added to your session invoice.
