One of the Goll’s favorite activities to enjoy at home (now that Cameron is home) is snuggling up on the couch and enjoying a cup of coffee together. They are overjoyed spending time in quarantine with their sweet nugget and love their pets so much. When we started our Downers Grove newborn lifestyle session, I considered all of these things a road map to our ideal session.
I wanted to capture the Goll’s in their element, snuggled together, enjoying their sweet baby boy and their pets. I really wanted this lifestyle session to be intimate and personal, capturing this season with as much accuracy as possible.
Some of my favorite shots from this Downers Grove newborn lifestyle session are the ones of Cort and Anna snuggling with Cameron on their bed. It feels like we’re peeking in on their life. Also, anytime we can include pups, and a cat is a win in my book. This session truly feels like a snapshot of the Goll’s life. I cannot wait for them to look back at these pictures in a few years.
Congratulations, Goll family; I cannot wait to watch Cameron grow!
Downers Grove Newborn Session are Perfect to Capture those Sweet Snuggles
I typically recommend that newborn sessions be scheduled for the first four of weeks after the baby gets home. As you can see from this Downers Grove newborn lifestyle session, anytime is a perfect time. Even though Cameron was five weeks old at the time, we still were able to capture his sweet snuggles, his amazing mohawk, and his teeny tiny body.
Sometimes parents get so wrapped up in the “perfect” time to schedule a session that they will just not schedule anything for fear of it being too late. Don’t mind me while I get on my soapbox to shout: “No time is too late to capture your newborn! You want to remember this moment, I promise!”
